For over 30 years Barbara Miller has served King County’s vulnerable populations as a nonprofit resource development strategist with deep expertise in grants development, public/private/nonprofit partnerships, grantmaker stewardship and grant proposal writing. Cumulatively, her collaborative work in human services, health, K-16 education and civic organizations has generated more than $35 million in corporate, foundation and public investments. As an advocate for economic equity and social justice, she is passionate about improving lives and opportunities for the disadvantaged, disenfranchised and despairing. Barbara is strategic and analytical thinker, experienced manager and respected leader among colleagues who values the power of collective action to promote progressive social change and build healthy, strong and vibrant communities.  She is currently the Foundation & Corporate Gifts Manager for the Downtown Emergency Service Center.
